Infuse whole orange marigold calendula flowerheads in oil using, if possible, the simpler’s method (solar-infused for several weeks) for use in making salves, creams, lotions and other topical formulations. Include the flowers in bath “tea” bags. This herb is a good choice for natural baby powders, soaps, shampoos and diaper rash creams.
Use whole orange calendula flowers in potpourri and other herbal crafts.
Add to soups and homemade bone broth. Prepare tea from the whole flowers, alone or in combination with other botanicals.
Calendula is used in the food, beverage, supplement and cosmetic industries.
Use with caution if you have an allergy to plants in the aster family, such as ragweed. |
